Fans Following England's
Glory
Hundreds
of official England fans will be among
thousands jetting off to South East
Asia in six month's time as the national
team bids for World Cup glory. And
they will be looked after by Travel
Management Group of Dormer Place,
Leamington Spa, when football's showpiece
kicks off on May 31 in Seoul,
South Korea.
It
is expected that tours will range
from £3,500 for the initials group
stages to about £30,000 for the
entire competition.
George
Dick, managing director of the company,
said the first key date was last
Saturday when the draw was made
and, now people could track where
England could go, tours were expected
to be on sale last night.
All
of England's group games will take
place in Japan, starting against
Sweden on June 2 in Sairama, followed
by games against Argentina on June
7 in Sapporo and against Nigeria
in Osaka on June 12.
Mr
Dick said: " I was delighted
when England qualified after Mr
Beckham stepped up to do the business
- it was tremendous. We will be
acting on behalf of the FA to look
after England official fans and
FA official sponsors".
Travel
Management has been involved in
the football business for a long
time and has earned a good reputation
handling travel arrangements for
leading Premiership clubs.
Mr
Dick said: "The first thing
we will be involved in is the preliminary
round for the final stages. It's
my opinion that the majority of
England fans will probably go for
that period. It's difficult to put
a figure on it but initially we
are catering for about 500 people".
