Travel firm's deal is out of
this world
A
Warwickshire travel firm has landed
a contract worth £500,000 with a
major organisation based at the
Royal Observatory. Travel
Management Group, based in Dormer
Place, Leamington, has landed the
deal to organise business travel
arrangements for the Edinburgh-based
UK Astronomical Technology Centre
[UKATC].
UKATC provides a UK focus for the
design, productions and promotion
of state-of-the-art astronomical
technology. Its scientists
also carry out research into the
origins of planets and galaxies.
TMG Corporate fended off competition
from two other short listed companies
to win the contract. The firm
offers competitive pricing, particularly
in business class on long-haul flights,
through its Wizard fares, specially
negotiated with a raft of the world's
leading airlines.
David Moore, director of business
travel operations at TMG, said:
"We are delighted to have won
the contract to handle the travel
arrangements for UKATC. It
is the latest in a long line of
TMG's prestigious clients and we
are looking forward to cementing
an excellent working relationship
with them."
TMG is one of the largest independent
travel organisations in the UK,
with centres in Edinburgh, Midlands
and Home Counties, from where it
meets the travel needs of more than
500 business clients, from international
blue chip companies and Premiership
football teams to local businesses
It is in the top 20 business travel
companies in the country and recently
received a citation from hotel giant
Marriott in recognition of continued
sales performance.
