Shaun Lester responds to a brief he was given
by a top selling conference and incentive magazine
which was featured in their November edition.
The
brief: stage an event next spring, to a short-haul
destination, including a one-day conference,
followed by corporate hospitality for 40 senior
executives.
TMG
Events account director Shaun Lester's reply:
Barcelona is ideal, and the place to stay is
the impressive Hotel Arts. Recently refurbished,
the rooms are second to none, and they offer
sensational views over the city. Excellent conference
facilities are complemented by an impeccable
'can do' attitude from the well drilled conference
team.
For
a group of 40, our pick for dinner would be
the 4 Gats, tucked away in the atmospheric Gothic
Quarter. The galleried restaurant evokes the
age of Pablo Picasso, who was a regular there
with his modernist chums.
In
terms of corporate hospitality, watching Barca
take on Spanish opposition at the Camp Nou would
be the trip's highpoint. Here we'd organise
a pre-match, behind the scenes tour of the stadium,
culminating in a VIP reception in the President's
room before watching the game from a private
box.
