A small band of Warwickshire businesses paid a flying visit to Munich thanks to Travel Management Group plc and Lufthansa.

Travel Management Group plc and Lufthansa invited the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and a range of member companies to pay a one-night visit to the German city of Munich, flying from Birmingham Airport.

The visit allowed the firms to meet up eith potential contacts in Germany, whicj is the world's second largest exporter, and get to know the market better.

Mark Eaton, from the Chamber's international trade team, said "It was a great trip and really worthwhile.

"The businesses that joined us represented a good mix of those companies that are already seasoned overseas traders to those who are just dipping their toes in the water.

"We have been saying for a long time now that those who trade on an international level will be better off in the future and that will continue to be the case.

"For those who have never exported or worked with overseas companies, it is certainly worth speaking to one of our advisors.

"There will be further foreign visits this year and we were very grateful to Lufthansa and Maritim Hotels for sponsoring this visit for our members."

Chamber members Travel Management Group plc organised the visit.
