It
was a case of friends reunited at TMG Corporate
- part of the Travel Management Group (TMG) -
for new account managers Mark Elliss and Joanna
Donaghy.
The
duo previously worked together in the corporate
travel team at American Express in Birmingham
and are now both leading teams from TMG's headquarters
at Dormer Place in Leamington.
Mark,
who is from Redditch in Worcestershire, enjoyed
11 years with American Express and has also
worked at BTI UK, Studley Travel and FCm Travel
Solutions during his career.
The
35 year-old said: "I've been in the travel
industry my entire working life and will celebrate
my 20th year in corporate travel next year.
"I
knew from an early age that working in the travel
industry is what I always wanted to do when
I left school. Civil aviation and travel are
my main passions in life and I've travelled
to more than 70 islands and countries worldwide
during my career.
"I
love working in the industry, no two days are
ever the same and it's great to have joined
a well respected firm in TMG.
"I've
known quite a few staff members of TMG for many
years now and they've made me feel really welcome
since I joined, I've also worked with Joanna
before and it's great to be working together
again."
Joanna,
who is from Solihull, has previously worked
for WGT Sports and UK Athletics and is delighted
to have finally joined the team at TMG.
"I'd
been freelancing for around two and half years
in the promotional and events industry which
I enjoyed but was keen to return to my roots
and pursue a career path in travel, having wanted
to get my foot in the door at TMG for quite
a while.
"The
company has a high staff retention rate so I've
had to wait for my time."
TMG
was founded in 1986 and since that time the
company has grown from a standing start to the
point where it now enjoys PLC status. It billed
in excess of £26m in the last financial
year and employs more than 50 staff.
