Way to safe travel for lone women

Businesswomen have been advised by a Warwickshire company on how to avoid danger when travelling alone.

Travel Management, in Leamington has been offering, via its website, tips ranging from where to sit on am aircraft and choosing hotel rooms. The company, which has a turnover approaching £50 million, said research showed women did not want positive discrimination but appreciated sensitivity to their needs.
It followed industry reports that women spent more than £1 billion a year on hotel accommodation and predictions that women would account for half of business travellers this year.
Sarah Williams, marketing manager for Travel Management said "Our advice is simple but effective. Being a business traveller myself, I am aware of all the problems that can be faced as a lone women traveller. Information on our website acts as a checklist for both seasoned travellers and those who are new to business travel. It is not prescriptive but a sensible reminder of ways to enhance business travel."
